This STC is also recognized as an Alternate Means of Compliance (AMOC) to the AD and allows continued use of the auxiliary fuel tanks with no restrictions.

The design, engineering and certification for the complete system was performed by Quiet Wing, and the system was installed on a B727 series aircraft operated by Vallejo Investments, Inc. at Flight Test Associates in Mojave, CA.  The total time to complete the installation was 10 days.

The technology developed by Quiet Wing during this first STC process has direct application to auxiliary fuel tanks manufactured by both Rogerson and PATS, Inc. and is applicable to B727, B737, B757, B767, DC-9 and MD-80 series aircraft.
