Quiet Wing designed and certified the first winglets on commercial transport aircraft in 1993. Since that time we have gone on to develop and certify Stage III hush kits that actually increased the aircraft performance as well as meeting the new noise limits, along with aerodynamic improvements that give an aircraft lower fuel consumption, increased lift, payload and climb capability.
The events of 9/11 created a requirement for reinforced Cockpit Security Doors (CSD) We applied our technical expertise to this complex problem and are one of only a handful of companies to have a certified product in operation world wide.
We have continued to provide solutions to new rules, regulations and Airworthiness Directives (AD) with the latest being kits to allow auxiliary fuel tanks to meet SFAR 88 regulations and continue in operation.
With the expertise gained from this project, we now offer new auxiliary fuel tanks, fully compliant with the flammability reduction requirements of FAR 29.981, and a new fuel quantity indicating system. Unique to this system is the ability to change tank configurations; add tanks for increased range or remove tanks for additional payload.
Our certification projects are run through the FAA Aircraft Certification Offices and we have a proven track record of obtaining STCs (Supplemental Type Certificates) with New York, Seattle and Los Angeles FAA offices as well as numerous EASA approvals.
