B727 Stage III Noise Kits

The Quiet Wing Corporation Stage III Noise Kit makes use of the aerodynamic improvements provided by our patented flap modification to not only meet Stage III noise requirements but also provide performance improvements to the aircraft.

Noise is measured in 3 areas:  takeoff, approach and side line.  Depending on the certified MTOW of the aircraft, to meet the side line noise requirements, the Quiet Wing Noise Kit supplies a standard P&W mixer for engines #1 and #3 along with a new center engine pipe. These mate to the current thrust reversers and there are no engine nacelle changes required.

The aerodynamic modification that is part of the Stage III Noise Kit enables the aircraft to use less thrust on takeoff and reach a higher altitude throughout the noise footprint.  On landing, a lower thrust level is required to maintain the same landing profile leading to a reduction in noise.

The Quiet Wing Noise Kit is the only hush kit that not only meets Stage IV for certain B727 model aircraft, but also provides aerodynamic benefits to the aircraft.
